rounded corners + borders?

Is there a way to get rounded corners and borders to work together? When I apply both the rounding goes away, apparently.

I don't think the two play nicely together. RoundedCornersworks by building up a stepped sequence of very thin divs on the edge of your control, which doesn't really make sense if you're using a border as well. I'd recommend setting theColor andRadiusproperties ofRoundedCornersto achieve a border-like effect.

rounded corners with firefox and opera

I am using some rounded corner controls on an app im testing. In IE they work perfectly but in firefox and opera the borders are broken. The rounded part shows but it detached from the vertical borders. Has anyone else had this happen? HOw do you fix it?I wrote some testing codes to check Ajax:RoundedCornersExtenderand found it worked fine in IE7,FireFox and Opera.I installed Visual Studio 2005 with Ajax Beta 2 and Futures November CTP in my PC.Here are my testing?codes?for?your?

Besides,try to set "Fit to Width" in Opera,otherwise maybe you will get the inorder web controls in a web page.
Can you post some codes here?Let me try to test it and check what's the result.

RoundedCornersExtender border

Hi,

I can't seem to find how to replicate RoundedCornersExtender withrounded borders, like in this sample:

Where "border" property should be set?

"RoundedCornersExtender border" search on this forum produces ample results,

the only trouble is, none haverounded borders like in microsoft example above.

Did you click on the Properties for the control on that page?

note: Make sure you're trying to round a Panel.

This isn't working for me in IE7 either... but it works in safari, opera, and firefox... Anyone gotten borders to work in IE?

OK some more information. I'm using the control in a UserControl and testing it on a page that has a MasterPage.

In the masterpage, the doctype declaration is:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

If I change it to:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

The corners get rounded properly... but other styles seem to be affected (ie the text is smaller, and in non-IE browsers, color is effected).

This happens with all the otherdoctype examples here too.Is it a known bug that the ajaxcontrols don't work with the first doctype i listed?
