As far as I know, you can rewrite the RoundedCornersExtender's buildParentDiv function to what you expect. Also you can use Javascript to change its css styles on pageLoad event since it is a Dom element. But unfortunately, all this seems not to be a easy task.
For your situation, I think you may build Corners manually by using corner and line picture + HTML. Just like this:http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx
